Council Wants Companies to Recruit Trained Workers

Jakarta DPRD's Commission B, asking Jakarta Provincial Government to make a decision for companies in the capital to accept students graduates of job training centers.

As long as they are given training, it will resolve unemployment problem in the city

Ida Mahmudah, Member of Jakarta DPRD's Commission B said, the distribution of employment decisions is very important, thus the number of unemployed in Jakarta reduced.

Unemployment Number in Central Jakarta Reaches 4,409 People

"We want the city to make a decision for the company in Jakarta to receive employees who have been trained or educated," she stated, when she did work visit towards the Pasar Rebo Industrial Development Training Center (PPKPI), East Jakarta, Wednesday (10/18).

According to her, the students' skill that has graduated in the training should be used well by the company. The decision, said Ida, also shows the awareness of the city towards the trained workers.

"They should not be unemployed. As long as they are given training, it will resolve unemployment problem in the city," she asserted.

Responding on the matter, Anwir Ismail, Head of Pasar Rebo PPKPI disclosed his side continues to market the trained workers to the company.

After the students graduate, his side continue to monitor them to get the job.

"We also formed the Communication Forum of Training and Industry Institutions (FKLPI) to simplify the job seekers and companies to get information," he closed.
